Dealer CPO'd my modded TT- normal?

I was surprised to see my fairly modded '03 TT (aftermarket turbos, exhaust, ecu, suspension, short shifter, plus all the blingy bits) be certified by the dealer I sold it to... how do they warantee aftermarket parts? If some thing goes wrong I guess they can replace with stock parts, but what about the engine?
I remember my BMW CPO tech freaking out about all the mods on my M5... they could not CPO with any aftermarket parts. I wanted to CPO it and then sell it to a friend.

The Porsche dealer near here just checks off all the boxes on the inspection sheet without actually reading it. If your dealer is like my dealer, they probably didn't do anything other than read the mileage off the odometer.

There is also a section on the CPO sheet where you can circle items that are aftermarket and not covered. IE: Say your power seat switch were to malfunction. Even with all the aftermarket engine mods, they in no way affect the seat, except for maybe throwing things toward the back a little harder
