997 GT3 Oil Change

Is the tool for removal of the 997 GT3 oil filter element lid the same as the tool for removal of the 993 oil filters?

i believe it tis the same size as the smaller 993 filter

Thanks for replying - I have always used the same tool for both filters on the 993 - the small filter for the valve train is shorter but it has the same diameter.
