Never owned a Porsche... think I'll step into a CGT
Now if I could get an Enzo! ... Fogeddaboutit!!!
We all know F40's, F50's and Enzo's are going up in value.
With the CGT, it remains to be seen....some argue yes, others not.
I'm up for a drive for sure. A friend nearby has the same CGT (black/black) as mine. He has the straight pipes, mine is stock. His car is definitely loud ALL the time and turns heads everywhere. However, I don't care for the tone - it's too low and doesn't have that high pitch F1 sound I get out of mine (as far as I could hear when following him). I prefer stock. When I leave my neighborhood or just cruise through a congested area, the CGT's looks alone draw enough attention - I don't want a loud exhaust at these times. However, if you're in the mood, a single rev or acceleration will break that silence and turn it into a high pitch that screams F1.
If you get your CGT in time for Motor4Toys, I'm going to be at Starbucks in Torrance Dec 1st at 5:30am with another CGT and possibly some others cars (I posted under Events on Rennlist - I wanted to post here as well, but couldn't find an Events category on this forum). It's on the corner of Lomita and Crenshaw next to Home Depot. Starbucks is kind of enough to offer free coffee for those that gather. Then at about 5:50am, we will head up to Woodland Hills for the toy drive. I've heard there could be a dozen CGT's. Anyone is welcome to join me FYI. I want to get there before 7 or it will take some time to get in. I may be stopping at the Auto Gallery where more CGT's will join us, but that has yet to be determined.

If the stars align I shall take delivery of my CGT before Motor4toys.
Plan is to have my wife drive the 16M and ill drive the CGT.
To all those who haven't seen it EVO Magazine did a test of the greatest analogue super cars, Mclaren F1, Porsche Carrera GT, Ferrari F40, Ferrari F50, Noble M600, Pagani Zonda F and a Lamborghini Murcielago LP670-4 SV
No surprises to those who already know a thing or two..

Congrats!! I would be pulling backflips down the street upon arrival lol. The CGT is just in a class of it's own that v10 is automotive bliss, have fun with it!
Well I've been doing quite a bit of research on the CGT -one of the last analogue supercars to be ever built.
I recently test drove a 997.1 GT3 RS, but as some may know...I want maximum emotive, visceral rawness. I want to be challenged by the car, and rewarded by it's driving experience. NO technological nanny aids. Just a PURE sports car.
I can't think of a better car to own, than a CGT.
I have 2 Loti and a 16M which are pretty raw. I am hoping the CGT adds exponentially to the experience.
Any owners of CGT's, I would appreciate any tips and wisdom. I already know about the clutch and first gear.
I am very close.............................

I've owned 8 Porsche cars over the last 18 years. I strayed a little and purchased a
Viper, Lamborghini and a Jaguar xfr. I regretted all three purchases. I've never regretted
a Porsche purchase.
I currently own one of the fastest 996 turbos in existence and it is a rear wheel drive
conversion with no nanny aids. It'll leave a CGT sitting still. All I can tell you is you
will not regret your decision and owning a 911 isn't a requirement to buy a CGT.
There's nothing compulsory about Porsche except enjoyment.
Congrats.
