CCB option
CCB option
what is the pros and cons of the CCB?
The 9k pricetag makes me want to be sure. i will probably track a 991 GT3 once a year and the rest daily driver, is it worth it.
wont a regular porsche brake not have enough stopping power in the track?
any input is appreciated.

Pros
they are awesome
no fade
no brake dust
likely will last as long as you own the car
Cons
not good for heavy track use
expensive
expensive repair/replace
squeak
only come in yellow (personal preference)
I am ordering my 3rd Pcar (991 GT3) and I will forgo this option for the 3rd time. the steel brakes are amazing. dont know where you heard they wont have enough power for the track.... quite the opposite, actually.

They seem like a novelty more than anything else. avi8tir is spot on with his pros/cons.
My rear pads on my PCCB's were recently changed by the dealer and now they squeak which is a bit annoying. In contrast, my aftermarket StopTech 380/365mm drilled rotor system on my M3 seems just as good for heavy track duty and no squeak at all. And it was only $5.5K installed.

I've had them before on a few 996/997 cars. I rarely track any of my cars, and if I were to order a 991 GT3 today I'd pass on the PCCB's because I'm not entirely convinced they are worth the price tag for street driving.

It's not worth it for the street at a 9k option unless money is no object. If money is no object go ahead and buy it, but then if money was no object you probably wouldn't ask a forum of strangers about it.
I am considering getting a GT3 or paying the extra 10k for a turbo and I will definitely forgo on the CCB if I get the GT3.
