Paint to Sample recommendations

I'll be ordering my 3rd GT3 here in a couple of months. Should be in the first run of 2015's.

All of my Porsche's have been white. White with black wheels and black accents - mirrors, wing, etc.

I want to do something different. Nothing too crazy... but something different. I love Mexico Blue. But thats a little too out there for a car that i will keep for 3 years.

Any recommendations? Please post pics too!

thanks!

The light grey color from the 997 sport classic would be really cool!

Go with Riviera Blue Dolphin Grey might look great too. I look forward to seeing what you end up going with.

Yachting Blue, had it on my 991S, very nice blue/gray, almost like Atlas.

I was thinking of this actually.... Graphite Grey... very similar to the color that is offered on the 997.2 RS

Presumably you have seen it so why not get what you love? Get Mexico Blue! I disagree that resale will be a problem with it. I'm also entertaining PTS and my research shows Mexico Blue to be one of the most popular PTS colors. The GT3 is a race car for the street. It's OK to stretch the boundaries and get a loud color! If I could buy a low mileage MB GT3 I'd get my checkbook out now. I recently road tripped to see signal yellow and viper green, also good vintage Porsche colors.

Unfortunately none of those colours were approved for the 991 as of the end of October 2013 which is the latest update I had on approved PTS colours. The only way to get PTS on the new GT3 is it have to be an already approved colour as per the list I posted earlier.

Also the PTS window on the first run of GT3 was very short so if you are interested in this, you need to be talking to your SA now and having them put in your request as soon as the window opens again.

Just trying to help you guys avoid any disappointments when considering PTS on the GT3..

Cheers

I doubt you would have any problem unloading a Mexico Blue car or any other "wild" PTS color such as 997.1 RS orange or green. In fact, those cars seem to command a premium on resale.

I've been floating my allocation for months now waiting to see if the Sport Buckets were going to be released. I have decided to place my order in the first run of 2015's this summer. So, Ive got time... and hopefully that list will expand by then!!

Porsche Orange (L86C) would be different but to me all GT3's that are not RS models should be white. I'm looking for a white one now!!!!
