Congratulations! She looks awesome! For how long or how many miles do you plan to break her in?

I have read a million different opinions on break in over on rennlist.com. The manual says under 4k rpm for 2000 miles which is ridiculous if you ask me. That could take me 6 months to get to 2000 miles going into winter right now.

I will follow the same formula as my last Porsche which was a 997 Turbo which ran perfect for the time I had the car.

under 4k rpm for first 300 miles, 5k rpm at 500 miles, 7k rpm at 750 miles which includes short bursts to 7k. After 750 miles its a go to 9k.

I was at a "drivers edge" DE event at COTA this weekend. A guy from Dallas drove his brand new GT-3 straight from the showroom to the track! Still had the temporary plates!! Beautiful car. Same event had a new 918 Spyder on track.

I have heard of this before with new owners driving off the lot and driving it like they stole it day one. I wish I could do the same but I think its it wise to break the engine in being I may keep this car a very very long time

Gorgeous ride ZZ, congrats! I did the same thing with my Aston Martin Vantages as you did with the Ferraris. Had to scratch that itch, but now that I'm back in 911s I feel "normal" again. Love the Astons for what they are, but the 911 is the icon of sports cars, and the GT3 is the icon of icons! Love this beast!
