Dilemma - Keep GT3 or Turbo
SDG- Almost all the 991 forums have been slow...There is not much new in general.
Nolan is a front line manager I got my 13 991 from his report Jim Lannom. I am there once a week.
At 35 no need for diaper change
Best of luck. I am sure I will catch you at one of the events.

Catch you around.
And yes, Patrick is a good guy and Nolan is as well (if they seriously have two in stock let me know, as I have buyers--or better yet test drive one and you might trade in that TTS).
Enjoy the Turbo S and when you're in Austin we can swap cars and have some fun

Sounds good. I do not take anything in this forum personally. It is just a car forum. I enjoy the banter back and forth. I understand why someone would like theG T3 more than a Turbo. I drove one that a customer backed out on and the motor sounds amazing. Coming from a NA 991 the Turbo did not sound great at all until i spent another 6k on a Europipe 100 cell cat exhaust and install. Around town at low speeds my 13 C2 was more fun as you always had to push the car. The Turbo is a little numb and isolated with the extra weight and AWD. The power is addicting though.
I hope to have this one more than 12-13 months but its doubtful. I am sure something else will catch my eye in a year.

Have fun and enjoy that TTs its a fast mo fo.
I'm with you--this place is a ghost town as well. Like I said, the TTS is super fast and if I needed a cruiser and city driver (like NYC) I'd be all over it. Who are we kidding, it's a killer car.
My point was living where I do, GT3 works better and for my lifestyle it's perfect. For others the TTS is perfect--all's good to me
Like you said, better we are all buying Porsche's than something else (or at least more P-Car's than F-Cars).

Wow, that's one heck of a New Years resolution!
WOW
So many responses. Such interesting reading. Had no idea this is a hot topic for so many people!
I would like to thank each and every one for taking the time to post.
I am still undecided but tilting more and more towards keeping the GT3. I appreciate it more as I drive it more.
But it's difficult to let go of the Turbo and I will not rush into it. I will keep it lingering on until I am damn sure about my feelings about her or about her!
Random notes to some comments I've read to this thread:
- I cannot keep both so one has to go (as someone said it is financially irresponsible)
- I always plan to keep any passionate car buy for 5 years but my track record is pretty bad (5 months?) so what is all the fuss (that's what I am saying to myself)
- I did have a 458 Italia on the agenda before buying these P cars. In fact, I did spirited test drive 3 times on a slightly used 2014 458. I didn't feel like I was getting my money's worth. I guess I look 75% at the performance and 25% on the features on any car so I will never appreciate a Ferrari 100% as they lack on features. This was also the reason I sold my California which I had owned for about 6 months
- Glad to read there are also others who went from Porsche to Ferrari and then back to Porsche. Some of my friends who keep their cars "long term" (like 3-4 years) seem to think it is only a one way street (i.e. next car should only be an upgrade / more expensive)
Thanks again and keep sharing!

By the way, I recall reading a reference to PDK-Sport. I know there's a button on the GT3 but then the turbo has Sport & Sport Plus buttons.
What exactly is PDK-Sport...an advanced version of PDK? Faster gear changes?
Is it available only on GT3 or also on turbo but simply just highlighted more in GT3?

Can just write much off to play bridge. Wow I just traded in my 13 C2S for a 15 TT being built and delivered in hopefully March of 2015. Yeah when I was at the local dealership in Boston in Dec they had 3 GT3 for sale.
BTW someone mentioned that a dealership in Texas begged you to take a 2015 TTS for a 20% discount, wow so a say $190k car they will sell for $152k wow, what's the name of that dealership? Really?
I bought the TT over the GT3 because I don't track my cars, also the TT makes a better GT car in my opinion. I still have the power to go fast, but let's face it most times you're at speed limits listening to the radio.

GT3. Zero discount. Why? There are not any. 3 my foot at your dealer. Maybe waiting for their owners to pick up.
Glad to have you guys over in GT3 forum BTW--GT3 991 makes a great DD.
There were 3 GT3 in HC in Boston, beginning of Dec. There are down to 1 GT3 still available.
I came to the GT3 forum wondering why GT3 have screens on their bumpers to protect the radiators. S while all other 911s don't. Starting reading this thread because I went thru the same decision process, the GT3 is cheaper but I feel the TT is a better DD, IMHO.
Still hard to believe you can get 17% off of a 2015 TTS anywhere. So a $190k car comes down to $157.7k just hard to believe, sorry. I looked around at a lot of dealerships.

Don't mean to get off topic but love the look of your white turbo. I never felt my turbo was numb. It was instantaneous power. I really like the sound of the turbo and that power is addicting and mine was not even as powerful as yours
The sad part is that same $157.7 car will be worth $140 the day you drive it off the lot. It's not a newsflash, TTS is a terribly depreciating car and the fact Porsche over built them and there are a flood of them for sale right now is not helping. Heck, there are still 2014's brand new out there for sale!
