Absolutely will do the coolant pipe fix if they cover the warranty work on the seepage. Thanks...

Final update

For those interested I passed on the car. The short of it was it wasn't the right car. It was all about the price. I got a hold of my emotions just in time. Wasn't easy for a guy buying his first GT3...

Thanks to all who helped and to those who didn't

All I can say after reading this whole thread is that buying a car expecting it to appreciate in value is the wrong approach. Especially one with $60K in damage.

Cars are tools, not investments. Sure, a very tiny minority of them can become quite valuable over time. But having the outlook and hope that your bag of bolts will somehow pay for your retirement is a pipe dream.

Buy a GT3 and drive the heck out of it. You will get a much better gratification than keeping it under wraps and worrying about how many miles you put on it, so that it's more valuable for the NEXT owner.

Best of luck on your search!

Great decision Michael.

At the end of the day, you get what you paid for in almost any market. It's easy to overpay for a car but almost rare to underpay, especially when your dealing with "professionals". They will always have the upper hand every time.

I appreciate that. I'm already sussing out two more cars. I'm going to have to part with more money but that's ok. There are enough cars out there. It's just a process and I enjoy it so it's all good as they say.

I would have passed on the car with a story in a heartbeat. $60k in repairs!? No thanks. Good luck with the search.

As of yesterday it was still for sale. I drove by it. They have lowered it to 89,900. I saw it online as well...

As you all know, I have the book on that car. PM if you need info.
