Hello guys,

I hope that's not a repost but this video is interesting about even a very good driver can lose control of his car extremely quickly.

That is scary. He must have had a window open on the car for the windshield to blow out like that.

Apparently, it just covers the fuse box, and the wind rushing in at 100mph is enough to "rip" it off.

Mst definitely a brown pants moment!

Windshield probably came out from chassis flex. Looks like a polycarbonate windshield from how it just buckles.

after watching this video a bunch of times its so difficult to tell what happened. Is there wall contact with the rear of the vehicle moments after the tire blew which causes the vehicle to flex and pop out the windshield??? or like someone else said, is this a ploy windshield that just get sucked out from windforce? Either way, totally sucks and hope driver was not injured.

Jay Leno did the same thing with the CGT during one of his speed runs. Tire didn't blow out but he was just going a little too fast and ended up spinning 5 times or something like that. He didn't hit a wall or anything but what was interesting is that while he was spinning, he slammed on the brakes when he didn't see wall and let off the brakes when he did and kept alternating as he was spinning. It kind of makes sense because if you lock up your fronts while going towards the wall, you won't be able to steer and if you brake while backing into the wall, it will help slow you down. Has anyone else heard of this technique? It sounded like he had learned it somewhere?
