i want to replace my 2015 GT3 , need your advice
wait: i "thought" of "something" ! baited breath requires i stay tuned for your next thoughtful highly informative musings on the topic
at least you admit not being able to understand
I guess you have to do something to make up for that gargantuan rubber on the TA..
wired that Euro review didn't like it so much
like Top Gear and Autocar (the car tend to understeer a lot)
and Motor Trend think it's better then Ferrari or anything else
include a Pro racing driver like Randy:
some here had a chance to drive the Huracan ?

I was pretty surprised with Motor Trend's review of the car. It's the first one I have seen on the car that's so glowing. It made me ALMOST consider getting one in the future but for the money (237k starting price) I'd rather have a 458 or 488 depending on pricing. You can get a 2013/14 458 with 7 years free maintenance for that price. To date their depreciation curve has been minimal to none. The 488 will affect things a little bit but I doubt they will drop as heavily as a Lambo typically does.
but 458 was 2 years ago
so i can't remember exactly
as far i remember , i liked the 458 more
but the Huracan have amazing engine and grip
Not really a fair comparison but I drove the 458 and Gallardo back to back and the 458 was a blast because of RWD and being more tail happy. The Gallardo was planted and frankly boring to drive around the track. I was also limited since it was with the Exotics Racing group in Vegas. Are Huracan's easy to get or is there a waitlist?

it's was fun because of the engine sound
but very very bad gearbox , and the handling of the 458 in different league.
Huracan wait list? i'm not sure
i guess no , but over my budget anyway
maybe a used one.
but here is potential replacement for my GT3:

2895 lbs !!!
same engine as the 12C / 650S
i hope it will not be boring to drive like the 12C
I have been toying with the idea of selling mine to get either a 430 scud or 458 but am having a hard time parting with a car that took me so long to find. I think though the scuderia is also a car that wont depreciate much more. (300K now exchanging hands 180s for good examples)
The GT3 is an amazing car but I frankly hate dealing with PAG. I'm next on the list for an RS at my dealership and the color options are deplorable. I'd happily pay for PTS, but can't unless I'm lucky and get in during the build window which I have 0 control over... The PTS program is a joke and dealerships use the program to rape buyers. It amazes me how PAG isn't willing to do anything for a customer spending 200k on a car but Ferrari, Lambo, Aston, McLaren, etc. will happily give me any color I want on any panel for my money.
Can't go wrong with any of these. But the 12c is still the best car i have ever driven. My wife also thinks so
.
The 12c is the car at the right price right now. There is no other car, in that price range (for a used one), that compares. And anyone that says it's boring must not be driving often.
It can be loud when you want it to be and civilized when you want to go out to dinner. Its not all about, popping ear drums. Sometimes you just want to cruise and relax.

I'm in a similar situation. Closest dealership is almost 2 hours away. However, the dealership here told me that if I bought from them they would pickup and drop off my car for service free. This might only be for new cars but something to consider asking if you are interested.
Funny that you ask as I have spent the last hour looking at the Scud market. If I find the right Scud, I'll probably go back. It's an amazing car that I feel will continue to hold its value and most likely appreciate over time like the CS.

I have just the opposite problem. After 10 years and lots of buy/selling and saving I'm dead set on a GT3 for many reasons. But which gen and model is effing killing me!
Ok, I want an opinion from both of you. And I want it based on these three cars and criteria.
997.2 GT3
997 GT3RS
991 GT3
I know the pros and cons of all three spec wise. Here is the criteria:
1. Not a daily driver
2. Two track days a year max
3. Fast weekend, day trip car
4. Cars n Coffee, event impact

5. I tend to like direct Motorsports colors
6. Best resale value as I have to part with the car to get another
7. Never owned or driven a PDK car
8. Had a Cayman S Sport as last car
Have at it. No wrong answers and give it to me straight
