TPC Racing 997/991 GT3 Side Muffler Bypass Pipes

Now Available for the 997 and 991 GT3

We really believe that Porsche designed a great stock exhaust system, with regards to engine performance and build quality, while meeting worldwide OEM requirements for sound control. Because of this, we chose a minimalist approach and retained as much of the factory engineering as possible in our own design, including features like Valvetronic compatibility and the metal flex joint.

Maintaining the factory valve control strategy eliminates unwanted cabin drone, excessive noise, and torque loss in lower rpm ranges. For those of you concerned with aggravating your neighbors early in the morning, this feature is for you! When the valves open, the TPC Racing Active Side Muffler Bypass Pipes are singing at full song to provide powerful cup-car-like sound and performance.

The metal flex joint, another factory design, allows for easy installation and proper alignment with the center muffler. Not only does this reduce the risk of mistreatment during the installation, it also reduces the risk of muffler fatigue and eventual cracking of the pipes over time.

While the sound gains are certainly noticeable, our bypass system was designed with a more conservative sound gain in mind, and we focused more on performance gains, saving weight, and drone reduction.

Research and Development was done on our own TPC Racing development cars, and we have put a lot of miles on these bypass pipes before releasing them for public sale.

There are a number of exhaust options offered by a number of reputable companies. The best option for you depends on the qualities you are looking for in your exhaust system. If you feel that your goals are aligned with ours then we have a product designed just for you!

Features
• 40 lb. Weight Reduction from OEM
• Valvetronic compatible
• Metal Flex Joint for Easy Installation/Proper Fitment
• Metal Flex Joint Reduces Chance of Center Muffler Fatigue
• Machined/Fabricated In-House
• Each Unit is Handmade in the USA
• Stainless Steel Construction with Satin Brushed Finish

We have only run this on our 991 GT3 so far and have not been able to dyno the car on our DynoJet rear wheel dyno. The in car performance computer works extremely well though and you can see that the dips in the factory screen are now filled in when you use that. With what we have gathered, 7hp and 7 lbs/ft tq are the gains.
