a non-modified Enzo can´t lap the NS due to suspension issues as it touches the ground in certain sections - we´ve seen some Enzos at the ring and there´s always been a very strong rumor that they´ll show up at the ring to battle the GT´s 7:32 from "Sport Auto" but they never showed up although Horst v. Saurma (chief ed. from SA ) was told he´ll get an Enzo at the end of 2005....

we´ll see...

I don't think they would dare.

The F430 with P Zero Corsa was super tested about a month ago with the Pagani Zonda F.

They don't need to prove anything to anyone ... the car is no doubt faster than the CGT.

Of course they could use the same trick GM did. Rent the track privately, get Shcumacher to drive a 800hp version of the Enzo on slicks (instead of the street version) and call it a day.

You never know......

Its been proven over and over that superior acceleration doesnt always mean fastest lap time.

Does anyone have any lap time comparisons on other tracks for the Enzo and CGT?

Here.

AMS Nardo High Speed Track Test. The Porsche wins by more than a full second.

The CGT was also faster in another magazine test, but I forgot it's name

The only comparison I've seen where the Enzo was faster was the Top Gear test. However, that can't be taken seriously since they weren't lapped in the same day.

I wouldn't be so hasty. The Enzo accelerates faster, but it's got more power, and quicker shifting. The horsepower difference is too small to explain the difference in top speeds. I know Ferrari have among the best aerodynamicists, but they aren't good enough to decrease drag as much as they need to get the Enzo to 218 (vs 205 for the CGT) without sacrificing downforce.

Also, the CGT has a ridiculously low center of gravity, which helps the mechanical grip.

So, CGT probably has the edge on downforce and mechanical grip, and the Enzo has more straight line speed. Weigh 'em up, and see who wins.

In the real world, there are only a few who can really get either of these cars to their true limits, and the Enzo has stability aids to help the rest of us approach them a little more closely, so I'd imagine the Enzo would be faster for the vast majority of drivers, on pucker-factor alone.
