Fabspeed GT3 Cup muffler bypass pipes

Spoke with Fabspeed regarding muffler bypasses for GT3. They told me that they got a doner car in, fabricated the pipes and they are now in production, 2-3 weeks away. They indicated that you can expect a 15hp gain and a 50lb weight reduction by losing the mufflers...Does this sound reasonable, especially the HP gain??? Opinions appreciated. Sounds like the best $500 mod one could do....

Are there any negative affects by reducing exhaust back pressure or is this all good, if you can bare the sound????

I have heard the Fabspeed bypass pipes and they are loud, great for the track, it depends on the type of use one uses their car on the street if its for long drives or just quick fun rides, Fabspeed moderate here on the Turbo and its very nice and will still set off car alarms.
