Motor fitment

Can a 3.8 liter meager fit into the 996 gt3. I may have something in store and am really curious before I make a move. Also can the 996 gt3 transmission bolt right up to the 3.8?

the 3.8 motor is the same dimensions externally its the liners and pistons internally that are larger so i don't see why not. i have a mezger turbo motor for sale if your looking for a mezger motor
