Have a 997.2 GT3 that I'm planning to sell. Have a windshield chip that has spidered - time to replace it.

If I replace with Safelite that is the exact same as OEM, would that diminish the resale value?

Opinions?

 

If it's a low mile car in good shape why try and save a few hundred bucks. Just do it right and get a OEM windshield, not the "same as". If you are going to ask all the money for the car the potential buyer will appreciate it.

As a side note I'm sure the gt3 model in particular is no stranger to replacement windshields as its intended for the track, especially those that are regularly used there.
