Dave, how does it take a while to lift the car. In mine, the nose lifts in about 2 sec or less.

Same here...about 1-2 seconds. Also, if you do not have the lift you will find you drive the car less. For example, I would not have been able to drive to work since the garage I park in can only be accessed with the lift. For me it was all about having more places to drive to maximize driving time.

superflysteiny is infamous around these parts
Hi guys I am new here and I own a 2015 gt3. I think the front lift depends on your experience driving lowered cars. Sounds crazy and I am a little embarrassed to admit this but owning several very low trucks and cars I found it very easy to get used to how low this car sits. But if you want piece of mind I would suggest you get the lift.

Agreed on the lift time. It less than 2 seconds. The old version on the 997 was slower, but not that much.

2 seconds is an eternity when you have a line of cars behind you pulling into a lot or garage....and around LA most the scrapes are through intersections and road transitions, where there is no way you are stopping for a full 1-2 seconds before proceeding. Not saying its not useful to have, just saying that I wouldn't rule out a car based on the one option as its not a perfect solution and you are going to scrape with or without it. but that's 1/2 the fun...

Too funny. If you can't anticipate, what do you do for braking? The system activates up to 30 mph. It's not like you need to stop and then activate.

Exactly, I was wondering what all the fuss is about...I was trying to understand the problem with a couple of seconds of rise time. :-)

I have a 2015 with no lift.
It is very flat around where i live but steep driveways at work---have never scraped, just need to take it slow and at an angle.
Plastic replacement splitters are only $150 @ suncoast
