When I was looking for GT3s last year there were several of these lemon/buyback branded cars on the market and it looked like they were struggling to sell them. Even though technically there's nothing wrong with them mechanically they will always have that stigma and I chose to pass on all those cars as well. I didn't want to get stuck with the car when I wanted to sell it. Instead I ended up with a 2014 that had the engine replaced before it was sold, nothing to explain to the next buyer.
I would pass on this if you aren't sure and have a concern. I am sure you can get a similarly good deal on a 2015 model year. At least you will have peace of mind.
Porsche dealership in Palm Beach FL told me not to consider any 2014s as someone already stated...when the time comes to sell it will be an issue.
Right now the 991 GT3 is such a hot car people are clamoring to get one, any one!..in another year when the next gen arrives we will start to see better deals to be had. He also told me the engine and body numbers will never match and that will always impact it's value in the long run.

Your dealer is wrong. Every 2014 has a certificate from Porsche certifying the match. Very few have a branded title. Most have a clear title just like any other car.
That's great news as I've got interest in a 991 GT3 and the 2014s should be priced lower because it is the first year and they've had issues.. It's been all sorted out now but still something I'd use in my negotiations should I pursue one.
Thank you all for your advice. It made me step back and realize I needed to pursue the car not just the deal. I made a move this week on a 2015 well optioned GT3 with 2000k miles.
This beast is not my 07 911 TT.
Just drove home from San Diego with a smile on my face the entire way
