As 997.1 GT3 ages, Still better than 997.2 C2S???
I know this topic has been discussed in years past.. But now as 997.1 gt3's are aging, I would like opinions on if you think that a 997.1 GT3 is an UPGRADE to my current 997.2 C2S with PASM/ Sport Chrono? I'm second guessing myself to pay more for an older car...
I do some driving events/track a few times a year so it's my toy/weekend car - not daily.
I've never been inside a 997 gt3 (ridden track in a 996gt3) but my local area doesn't have much so I cant just go test drive a gt3... Any advice or opinions about your experiences would help me, thanks guys!

I owned a 997.1 C2S (with factory aero kit) and just recently picked up a 997.1 GT3 and let me tell you I absolutely love it. I’ve also owned a 996.2 C4S that I Twin turbo’d, a 997.1 modified TT and a 958 Cayenne TT. All different cars, and the GT3 has a place for those looking for the true visceral feel of a streetable track car. It is no frills, light weight, very responsive and a blast to drive. If this would be a DD for you in a heavy dense population and traffic, maybe stick with a C2S, but if you want a GT Car, 997.1 is the way to go!
We tested back to back with a 991mk1 c2s manual vs a 997 mk1 Gt3rs manual, the c2s has some mods to it, we both are on cup2 tyres, and after driving back to back u feel the c2s is a rubbish,( we tested on really twisty mountain roads) it feels heavy, low power, brake not as good, just overall nth is better. And the frd with the 991 c2s manual end up changing to a 997mk1gt3, and we compared on street back to back with the rs it feels very close on street.
