Offical 997 GT3 pics
Simply awesome!! 415HP and an 8400 RPM redline N/A track beast for the street, stock out of the factory...now THAT's what I'm talking about. Definitely worth the $110K price tag IMO. So far, I like it better than the heavy 997TT.

PS: I would LOVE to hear that thing with a nice aftermarket performance exhaust....at 8400rpm's I know a tingle would shoot down my spine!

Wholy sh*t !!!
....the more pics and info you download about it the more amazed I am....this my friends, is what *Porsche* is all about !!! I personally wouldn't think twice about skipping over the 997TT for this lighter harder core model* Keep the AWD TT boat for the yuppies, the 997 GT3 all the way! I can't wait to see what they clock on the nurenburgring for the new GT3.....

...I totally MUST have one, that car will motivate me to work harder this year.

people will still buy the TT. these are 2 totally different cars. For people who want a lot of power in a luxury sports car that still has a race car feel to it they will buy the TT. But for the race enthusiast who could care less on how comfortable the car rides and all the luxury options will go with the raw race car feel that the GT3 has.
These 2 cars would make a hard decision but i would go with the GT3 for its more race car attitude. But you really cant go wrong with either.
But I know my dad would go with the TT because of its more luxury and everyday driving feel.

...I completely agree with you Joey, "passion" is the key word....I have felt sold out by porsche with the kind of BS models they have been coming out with most recently. Then the SUV's...its obvious the company is/was veering away from its roots catering now to an older yuppy crowd...rather than the rich enthusiast (a la ferrari). I hated the interior of the new 997's and the new 997TT seems like another 996 TT essentially (only with a "KIA" looking console) This new GT3's interior looks so hardcore yet nice....the grippy surfaces, the elimantion of the uneeded amenities that clutter up the cockpit, the lightweight C2 body but with an aggressive aero kit, the NICE bump in HP with an 8400 RPM redline!!! This car looks to be absolutely magnificent* Like I said, I can't wait to see what it clocks on the nurenburgring. If this car breaks the 996 GT3 RS's record and/or matches the GT2's lap time in its standard trim (which i think it will)....the demand for this car WILL BE unreal***

I still think people would still get the 997TT especially those who are horsepower junkie. The hp difference in 996GT3 and 996TT was only 35hp, but the hp difference in 997GT3 and 997GT3 will be around 65hp.
