About to buy a 14/15 GT3?
Id rather have an 18 with a 6speed in it but cant see spending 30k more for it than a 14/15....
Anything special I should know as a soon to be owner who will run it 10/10ths for a session or two twice a month and DD it in south florida?
Any difference in small changes between years?
I do NOT want speed sensitive steering not sure what option that is.
looking at ones with 6-15k miles and steel brakes and extended warranties
Only plans are to do a decat pipe, race filter and perhaps a tune depending on what I think of the stock throttle response etc. no suspension work or plans for anything else unless there are some must do mods.
Or Theres a deal on a 18 Carrera T with ccb's specced to perfection for 100k (vs 120-130k for the used gt3) and wonder if that would be enough to satisfy me on track with its suspension and manual gearbox as I know the ccb will be great and last until I sell the car. Would be miles better for DD thats for sure....
Thoughts? Anyone with one for sale?

If you ask this question on rennlist you will receive a lot more feedback. Heck, you can just search existing threads on this topic on rennlist and have material for hours.
They are great cars. The finger follower issue is well known, and if it occurs that results in the need for an engine replacement. Therefore, all 14-15 GT3's have a 10 warranty that covers the issue. You might argue, that is a great reason buy one and drive it hard as you describe. The 2016 came with a modified version of the older motor (G) and rarely has issues. They made fewer and will cost a little more.
Really depends on what is most important to you. I'm sure you know your must have options. For example, if you want PCCB and light weight bucket seats...that limits the pool and price is adjusted accordingly. You might not opt for PCCB since you plan to track. Great brakes, but very pricey to replace.
The manual vs. PDK debate is old IMO. Simply get what you prefer. Since there are so many available, not sure what is so heavily argued now. People who prefer manual buy stick and vice versa. FWIW, I have a GT3RS w/PDK. It takes all I can to extract fractions of what the car can deliver, and i love it. I don't want to be bothered with worrying about shifting as well. To each their own obviously.
Anyhow, I would rather have a GT3 vs. 911T manual. There is a presence with the GT3 that cannot be matched by the 911T. Not referring to 0-60 and track times, it is simply different and the GT3 sets itself apart in this regard.
Good luck in your search!

Buy 15 or 16 for above reason. More issues with E motor that was in 14. You will love the GT3 and if you are going to track then get a track car, the GT3 mot a Carrera.
The PCCBs are amazing and unless you are going to track a ton you will not wear them out. Far superior than steel.

Thanks for the feedback. Ended up passing over the 14-16 motor issues and went and got a 4.0 in an 18 with ccb's! If they wear out prematurely or I see rate of wear being quick ill just swap the rotors for steels and store them for when it sells.
