April '06 of C&D tested the CGT against another car on a 1.5 track and found the CGT to be 9 seconds slower. Good thing the other car was a 911 GT3 RSR race car. Got you CGT owners' attention. Didn't I?

 

Didn't they also say that if the CGT had been on racing rubber (like the GT3) with a track tuned (instead of street tuned) suspension the results would have been different?

 

Yup, and it sure would have i agree!

 

They should've thrown on the 18's with slicks that Donahue and Leno used at Talladega. I'd bet just that with stock suspension would've made a major difference, maybe evened things up. Adding racing dampers and a custom-picked spring setup for the particular course...then it'd get interesting.
