GT3RS For Sure?

June Excellence Magazine states, that the 997 RS "is" coming to America. If this is the case, I want to move my deposit to an RS. Has anyone heard info to support this magazine claim?

According to my dealer it is in fact coming. The manager showed me the "release" from Porsche with the basic information that has been reported before so I'm #1 on the list...

Street Legal Race Car
Intro March 2007
Widebody
Plexi window
No sunroof
CGT like seats
673 units - (worldwide or US?)
$126K

the plexi on stradale is OUTSIDE of the car, i belive (i could be wrong) there's a glass b/n the cabin and the plexi on top of the engine, no?

the side windows on stradale are glass right?

My understanding is that the stradale could either have glass or plexi side windows iin Europe. In the USA, plexi couldn't be made as an option for DOT regulations, so all US cars had glass.

Does this vehicle come with AC as an option? Is it completely gutted or does it have AC/radio etc.

I am going to call my local dealer on monday and get some more info. If the car is priced the same as the new turbo we have on order it may be time to switch the order to a 997 GT3RS. The car is just too damn awesome to pass up.

Called my dealer after hearing of your "release" news. He still says no word from Porsche, but did acnowledge the article in Excellence. I read him the list of features you mentioned and he felt based on the "673 units" mention, that it was referring to the 997GT3, not the RS. He said he would keep me posted.

This is common as there are dealers that have not heard about it yet, and then dealers that have the same info I passed along. My dealer sold 18 CGT's so maybe he is privy to more info?
