Hairline cracks in PCCB rotor

Is it normal to have hairline cracks of no more than 1 mm long on the PCCB rotors? I see not just one, but many of these cracks on my rear rotors. The front ones have no cracks.

Since I didn't get any replies after 96 views, let me re-phrase the question. If you have PCCB's, it may not be a bad idea for you to check your rotors carefully, report back if you see any hairline cracks.

you probably haven't received any responses because this has been beaten to death many times...(no search function doesn't help) small hairline cracks from the holes are common...caution is called for when the cracks join between holes...if you are concerned have your dealer or a Porsche tech look at them...not worth trusting your life to some dumbass on a forum...

edit: I hadn't seen your post Arling...the dumbass I was referring to was myself

Bruce
I recently had my PCCB rotors replaced after seeing two local guys fractured theirs at the track. IMO the Gen1 are not all that great. If you do a search over RL there are lots on that topics

Here're a couple of close-up's. What do you guys think? What's strange is that only the right rear has cracks, the fronts and other rear rotor don't have any.

Odd that the cracks occur in the rears when the fronts usually take more stress?

How do the PCCB crack compared to steel rotors? Do they crack normally - like you can still drive on the rotor w/ a bit of a vibration or do they crack in a more catastrophic way?

Are PCCB calipers compatible with OEM steel rotors/pads ?
I am in the market for a 996TT w/ x50 or a Turbo-S should an opportunity arise, but am wondering whether I should factor PCCB as a reason not to take a Turbo-S.

they are connecting 3 holes, you need a new rotor.
