Don't all of the new Z06's have a seam at the rear portion of the roof? Similar to the Viper Coupes seam in the front, just over the front windshield. Did they not build the car as coupe to begin with and then add the roofs? It just looks odd when you look at the cars. Check out the photos, I really didn't notice it until I saw them in person. What's up with that?

Absolutely...They shaved the weight down on this new Z06 so much...without that fixed roof they would have some serious problems. Those Z06 verts and targa tops that people are making will not be happy after drag racing them. But thats just my two cents...Either way i'm sure they are having fun with em. I love mine!

Wow interesting to hear, that dragging them would twist the chassis that much in these cars, hm. I really would love a targa type car, they are becoming real appealing to me, not as my track or all out sports car, just for crusing around

FYI they state that the car was substantially reinforced to meet the cars original rigidity. Cost is 11995.

if they are bright at all, they would have reinforced it to make it safe

They never made Z06 convertibles did they? Also, did they flare the fenders out on the Z06 vs the regular C6? I saw one on the road the other day and it had huge bulging fenders.

Yes, the fenders are wider. Yes, they did a lot of reinforcement.

Interestingly enough someone i knows parents own a GM dealership and they are being told to have all owners come in and have the roof checked. Not sure if that last fact had been posted already.
