GT3 door sill removal? what a PITB

So, I ordered my tequipment Carbon GT3 sill today a,the the Turbo launch.
I had that 10% off code and they took some more off too!
Anyway, I was checking out how to remove the stock plastic door entys or sills. I removed the plastic door storage guard thing and pulled up the rubber door seal. You have to to get the inner edge of the sill. I took a plastic stucco knife and started to work the edges of the sill, then I got some floss under it and started working it a little, untill it broke.
Man these suckers are on really good.
What is some advice on removal? Heat gun? fishing line?
I will hit the extra glue left behing with some WURTH metal parts and plastic cleaner. Before installing the carbon sills.

They gave me 30% I could not refuse, plus a free lunch..

So what's the advice, I almost snapped the stock sills in frustration.
They have a 3 inch wide piece of double sided sticky tape that could hold a Panzer turret on..

Heat up, pry off and work some line on it?

u need to soak it with some good adhesive remover then slowly peel it off. don't let it get into the side skirts though.
