997 GT3 Order

First wanted to say "hi all" as a new member here. I've been "lurking" around for a while , and finally decided to join.

Was wondering if anyone new a good place to put an order on a new 997 GT3 (or has an allocation they want to part with) without having to wait 'til next summer to take delivery. I have a '04 turbo cab, but been doing a lot of DE's (Watkins Glen, VIR, Mid Ohio, Summit Point), and it's just a bit to heavy for me.

Cheers,

(Posted same thread in Cars for sale/wanted, but not sure if that was the right place)

In Virginia, but don't mind paying transport from dealer if it's too far a drive ... but do need to get the miles up quickly on the car so I can get past the break in period and take it to the track

Keep in mind most dealers have two or three deposits already in house on the 997 GT-3. You may get lucky and find a dealer who is asleep at the wheel who has an available incoming car. This would be the proverbial needle in a hay stack. You could always find some shark that is willing to charge you ten grand over sticker for his allocation. A summer delivery time doesn't sound too bad, does it? How is your relationship with your local dealer? Have you considered ordering a 997 S with the Power kit?

Wasn't it Brandywine who was recently saying they had October builds?

Better yet just pull out a dealer directory and start dialing.
