I found some more pictures of this disaster. This perfectly good Carrera GT has been destroyed by Gembella

I'll reserve judgement until the final pictures and spec are released, but what's with the air scoop on top? From the last photos posted, it doesn't apear to be attached to anything except the "negligee" engine cover.

Why put something on a car that serves no purpose except for looks?

How does that scoop work? In one pic it appears to go in the engine bay, in the other it doesn't ... are those two different cars?

I still am quite unsure wether I like it or not. I think I like the scoop, I think I just vomited over the side skirts, and I'm pretty sure I wouldn't spend a dollar on that kit. There could be some decent mods for a Carrera GT, I'm just not convinced these are it. There again, some people must like OTT Gemballa stuff, they've been in business before Vanilla Ice was a singer!

a lot of tuners do this. it's done on purpose so you can see exactly what is different on the car and how it fits. it's harder to tell on some applications when it's all painted.

i am not sold on the scoop still, but i think the rest will look pretty good when it's all painted up.

Considering the air scoop has been added on the car...it should have a way more powerful engine to better give the engine much more cold air.
Definetely extreme.

Agree with you ! Don't like this spoilers and other "fatty" stuff ! It makes look this car very cheap !

Besides , CGT is great design already ! It was born perfect , Harm Laagay done awesome job !

Hope that this white Gemballa will be the only CGT tuned/destroyed by this company . . .

The GT is perfect in every way. It's really hard to imagine any change to it at all that would make it 'better'. Porsche's engineers built their dream car from scratch, starting from a blank sheet of paper. The way I see it, any changes to that is a step away from their original, no-compromise design.

I wouldn't mind seeing a twin clutch gearbox.

I know the twin-clutch system will be awesome. I drove the Bugatti Veyron, and it is wicked smooth and slick -- but I tell you, you'll miss the fun of a manual -- it's really hard to beat the joy of doing your own shifts.
