Ferdinand Piech (past VAG chairman) was related to the Porsche family.

The GT3 lapped the ring faster than the Audibo...

 

And the G lapped Hockenheim faster than the beetle.

I would think that the GT3 would be faster in the 1/4 then a gallardo. I took a gallardo with my 04 Z06 and my best time was only mid 12's in my Z06. Plus the older GT3's were able to do low 12's i nthe 1/4 and the gallardos are also a low 12 sec car.

 

Actually looks like the GT3 RS lapped the ring faster, not the Gt3, not to mention these are tests with the OLD GALLARDO. The 06 Gallardo is substantially better.

A stock Gallardo will ruin a stock 04 Z06.

 

hmm i dunno, i have a video of being pretty much dead even with one off a 1st gear roll, while i was granny shifting due to traction problems.

 

well i did have Lt headers and Borla exhasut but that didnt make a dramatic difference... I dynoed at 367 whp

Have you ran your G with a C6Z06 yet?

 

No I want to though. The AZ guys are planning a run, and hopefully we can do some roll ons.

 

The two cars should be close and interesting if done from a 30-130+ roll. I 'd like to see how the Z top end make up for the G lo and mid range.

 

After running a few of the guys here, they also said they think it will be close race and could go either way. We shall see, the Z06 is fast!

As for the Gt3 race, Luis and I only went very short sprints, 1-2 gears and the G could pull the Gt3, but we need to get a good 30-150mph run to see the real difference, which I think will be pretty good. In short sprints like that, all our cars are fast enough not to see too much difference between the 2.
