i dont know the measurement techniques... but i think cracking is the more important issue to look for... particularly hairline cracks that go hole to hole..

Well I think it just depends how hard you drive them. When I had my turbo, I hit 15k miles and still had 90% of the brakes left, but if you drive them hard, I think by 15K you're going to be well of into the second set.

I think it is impossible to measure wear in ceramic rotors, I believe the computer keeps track of the wear based on number and "strength" of applications. At least in the Ferrari world that is how it is done.

I don't think you can measure wear on ceramic rotors, because part of the wear happens internally or structurally. I never heard of the "weighing" technique before. Maybe. In extreme cases, you can see pitting and a rough looking surface on the rotors.
