i dont know the measurement techniques... but i think cracking is the more important issue to look for... particularly hairline cracks that go hole to hole..
its very hard to see ... thats about all i can add... hope it helps

I have hairline cracks around the holes but was told that it is OK, as long as the crack doesn't span three holes. Can anyone confirm this?

Well I think it just depends how hard you drive them. When I had my turbo, I hit 15k miles and still had 90% of the brakes left, but if you drive them hard, I think by 15K you're going to be well of into the second set.

tdf360 is an unknown quantity at this point
I think it is impossible to measure wear in ceramic rotors, I believe the computer keeps track of the wear based on number and "strength" of applications. At least in the Ferrari world that is how it is done.

From the salesmen I've talked to, the general consensus is that the PCCB's can be gone after a weekend at the track! ...

I don't think you can measure wear on ceramic rotors, because part of the wear happens internally or structurally. I never heard of the "weighing" technique before. Maybe. In extreme cases, you can see pitting and a rough looking surface on the rotors.

JoeyG - I believe the salesman is full of ****. I could not see a set of ceramics wasting away by your average or pretty good track driver. Maybe a proracer could do that. Just my 2 cents.
