My 997 GT3 arrived at the dealer this week - I'm picking it up this friday or saturday - can't wait. I've ordered the 997 roll bar and GT3 seats. Wanted to know what experience any of you have had with the new Schroth Hybid II Hans Harness (it's a combination of 2" and 3" belts such that the 2" portion tracks within the groove in the HANS). Do you use the quick connect for the lap portion of the belt or do you have the "bolt on" attachments?

I don't have the hybrid, but I know it's good. I use the schroth profi II 6 pt. harness with 3" belts and a hans device and it's great. Schroth are the best belts, imo. I have my lap belts bolted to the GT3 seats....not a quick release.

 

Thanks for the info. If I bolt the lap belt to the GT3 seat - do I place the lap belt more medial (or to the inside) of the factory belt attachment?

I ordered the roll bar and seats through Princeton Porsche. I'll be the first install of the new 997 Roll Bar next week. I'll post pics when complete. It's a completely new bar that is designed to be used with a HANS device. The bar is much more substantial than the old tequipment bar. As far as the seats, I don't want to mislead you, I'm installing GT3 seats from the 996. Princeton ordered these for me as well.

 

I just ordered the exact setup your getting on monday for mine from Brandywine ...amazing prices!! For Harness I got the Schroth Profi-II. Schroth makes the factory tequipment setup for porsche, so they have a specialized profi-II harness made to fit/attach to the GT3 seats perfectly. No need to buy the BK harness mounts for the lap belt. Go to the bottom of this page to see them:
