GT2 or GT3?
You may have to mess with the brakes a bit on the 2 since they came with pccbs.
As b/t the two, I'd pick the 996 gt2.
If it were b/t a 997 GT3 and a 996 GT2, I'd pick the 3 since the notable chassis improvements can really be felt on the road. Since I typically do not drive at triple digit speeds on street and on track I value chassis balance more than raw power, the 3 would be my choice.

95k is toooooo much for a '05 GT3, that's 90% of the way to a 997GT3, that's what I would do.
The 2 is still a 5yr old car soon of warranty, whose value is going to take even more of a dump when the 997GT2 comes out this summer.

gt2
i can buy a white 2002 GT2 30k miles from original owner never driven hard very good condition not perfect has a scratch on the door needs tires what should i pay i want it but its a lot of $$$ so i dont want to over pay!
Kinda depends on what you need it for. A GT2 or a GT3 are incredible cars. However, they both have positives and negatives. I personally would go with a GT3 since I like to track my cars and would be quite scared of the potential for mid corner "excitement" with a GT2.
I own a GT3 and I say go with the GT2...however, having said that...95k is way too much for a 996 GT3, so I think you can save some money with a GT3 over the GT2 and with that money you can do some motons plus more

And I love getting the GT2 sideways (and sometimes scarring unsuspecting coworkers at lunch).
I have not driven the GT3 at the track, but my GT2 with me and a full tank of fuel with Euro seats only weigh 3360, so it's not much heavier than the GT3's by any means.

I drive my G35 daily, GT2 is strictly for a smile and fun
