My dealer is ordering the part for me as well. Am I excpected to pay for this Part? What has been the experience of the rest of you without the bracket?

License Plate

I've searched other forums - it seems a lot of the 997's / GT3's have not been coming with the license plate frame. On my car, in just a weeks time, the "ill-fitting" License plate wore two holes in the lower shelf of the license plate area in the bumper. It's now quite obvious when you walk up to the car that the paint is worn off down to the primer. What do you think would be a reasonable repair of this area?

I think they should give you a new, factory-painted bumper if your current one has been worn down to the primer. Can you post pictures of what it looks like? I am curious to see your fitment issue and where exactly it is rubbing...

My rear plate also did not come with the bracket. Luckily, my dealer's license frame was plastic so it did not abrade the paint and I saw this post early enough to go out and get one. There are actually 2 installation holes there for the bracket when you take off the license plate so it is an easy install.

No drilling necessary.
