I Agree with you ... and I guess they always push for more "niche" in every model

That Cayenne won't be bad...

As for the new GT2, I am sure it won't be short in terms of power but I am wondering what the weight figure will be...

The new RS6 is going to have 580...

I really hope the Gt2 comes across with some AMAZING, AMAZING lightweight stuff bc I dont honestly think that will hold top notch in that market for long!!

The GT2 isn't about horsepower. Even underpowered it will outrun many higher hp cars, especially in the twisties.

Im the last person you would have to say that to normally...but...with many companies pulling out the power strings, the GT2 is really going to get by on a slim margin if they decide to put out that amounnt stock...hell...even 550 would be enough to atleast secure their place...but with that supra coming out and with what lambo and ferrari have been working on...this GT2 really needs to be something special...I hope they can do it!!!!!

as much as I agree about Porsche not really pushing the envelope too far with this "underpowered" GT2, I think they want to leave people foaming at the mouth for the CGT replacement which will undoubtedly put to shame pretty much anything that's currently on the market. The GT2 on the other hand, I think will be an extremely formidable car in the twisties, on the track and sitting anywhere with a camera nearby. Can't wait for the official figures and release.

Umm, C-GT replacement? The C-GT was Porsche's 1st mass-produced supercar since the 1988 959, I don't see a C-GT "replacement" anywhere in the next 5 years. They're busying getting the sedan ready at this point, C-GT replacement isn't even in the picture.

530 hp sucks! Porsche use to be at the forefront of power but they are failing behind very fast.

So if in a few years the M5 and E63 make 600 power we should have a 700hp carrera? and how many people are able to drive that thing other than straight line? I don't know about you gentlemen but I think that 5-550hp is pretty much enough for a sports car that doesn't weigh 2 tonnes...

You are probably right. Just keep in mind it must be true, because I read it on the internets. Also, my dealer accepted a deposit for one. Also, it uses the CGT frame/chassis, which would explain some of the similarity. I don't know, I just hope...

So when they come out with a 600 hp M5 you will be happy getting passed in your 530 hp GT2?

Wierd!
