a sequential transmission shifts into other gears in numerical sequence. the shifting pattern is just forward and reverse instead of the usual H pattern. you cannot skip gears, eg. 5 to 2.... you have to go down each gear 5,4,3,2 wth a sequential. it sounds like it's added work but going down each gear aids in engine braking. going up through the gears is quicker than a h pattern box. you can't do this with a traditional street h pattern box because if the helical cut gears (reduces noise).... a sequential has straight cut gears making it easier to shift. the straight cut gears allow clutchless shifting making allowing faster shifts.

(anyone, please add or correct me if necessary)

the littel handle is for reverse.

Ah got it, I didn't know you specifically use dog gears (straight cut) with sequentials, makes sense now, thanks.

Can you switch out the standard tranny with the sequential? That would be hot if it can be done.
