Would you guys leave it unpainted if the car was black?
Or would you still paint it to match?
Personally I'd go painted. In fact, if I could I'd replace every exterior body part I could with CF, paint it and tell nobody

or, you could do what I did with my CF parts on my M3; Spray a light layer of color so it flows with the car but you will be able to see the CF weaves:
My friend likes his cars the way he likes them. This is also the same car that did 200mph a few months back while still stock.
Chill out guys - the weight reduction was not limited to CF. We saved about 35 kilos from the exhaust system as well. Total removed weight from exhaust was about 60 kilos, estimated the new one at 25.
Also, a new induction system was installed, removing all the old stock piping, saving more weight.

I like it! I do realize it's not for everybody, but that's one of the fun things about doing this as well as one of the purposes, to make it different and not cookie cutter. The difference between this and a civic with a CF hood...this is form follows function to make it lighterweight, sure it's a little blinged by not painting it, but it's show AND go while the civic would be all for show (in most cases)

I don't wanna threadjack but here's some more:

why do people pay massive amounts of money
only to wreck their perfectly nice car,
i can never understand.
your friend can ask out the owner of this car-
they'll look cute together.

btw, that piece of shiet epoxy- sandwiched wet carbon does nothing to the weight saving
compared to already light oem hood.
custom made dry carbon is way to go.
having said that,
only thing he wants with that hood is attention and "wow" from local civic boys.
