btw, that piece of shiet epoxy- sandwiched wet carbon does nothing to the weight saving
compared to already light oem hood.
custom made dry carbon is way to go.
having said that,
only thing he wants with that hood is attention and "wow" from local civic boys.

So much hate... Hey man, I really don't care for your childhood traumas caused by a CF laden exotic, but you gotta learn to chill out.
Why does he do it, because HE HIT 200 MPH in a STOCK GT3. He sold his E46M3 which was full on GruppeM intake/ GruppeM exhaust/CSL headers/CSL rims, CF trunk, brembos, PSS9s, etc etc, because he found it too slow after all he spent on it and he was looking for more.
To repeat, why does he do it, well simply put - because he can. I appreciate what he does because I cannot imagine myself (yet) taking a car to the levels he has, or even afford one.
BTW, pics of his old M3:

judging by the look of the car,
the mod list on m3,
the way you write,
and your location,
you kids are not older than 25.
so the only answer i can find to this-
is "because his daddy's pocket is his atm machine."
not that it matters anyways.

OK, playtime over, this is getting really stupid already.
The car isn't mine, but I am replying because your posts have been nothing but criticism, obviously from your own point of view. While I respect that beauty is always in the eye of the beholder, I also respect the fruits of hard work, and if what I see is not in my realm of 'taste', then I shut up and leave my negative comments to myself.
I am not here to please others but here to share and learn from what always leaves me in awe. I own an M3 as well and am quite happy with it, but am here because I am done lurking and looking for my own Porsche in the near future.
I will no longer respond to your childish attacks or your snide remarks. I will leave you and your useless comments to yourself. It is not my pleasure to post in this manner, but your last reply obviously showed that you thrive on criticizing others.
Is this the way you earn a living, through wise-*** and condescending comments? If so, then I'll understand you and the way you post and probably not take as much offense.
You as a member of 6speed probably has his own money as well, but if you so boldly say that money does not buy taste, my response is: use your money to buy some decency, which I'd rather have than whatever your definition of 'taste' is.

Thanks for sharing. Don't know why the hate. If you don't like it, move on. But since you asked...
I would like that combination of the unpainted hood better with the following:
Silver car with a CF hood, roof and rear decklid with the RS wing unpainted. That would look hot. Along with black spoke wheels with silver rim trim.
BTW, I love that rear deck lid slightly painted on the M3. That is unique!! Are the panel gaps that big or is that an optical illusion?

am not so sure how much weight the hood saves since hte original hood is aluminum and is already lightweight. Biggest gains in savings are with the exhaust. Saved about 35 kilos after removing 60 kilos of the old stuff and replaced it with a custom exhaust that weighs around 25 kilos. Could have saved more with titanium but it's very difficult to weld, considering the bends that were needed.
