I have been friendly with these guys in the shop for over a year now,, stopping by often to shoot the breeze and it was all done in good fun.

If I really inspected this thing inside I would have known in a heartbeat. But I went along with the program.

I am on my way out now to buy a VW with a Rolls Royce front... lol

I think you're right. It's like people putting M3 and AMG badges on their 3 and non-AMG cars. Those that know what the badge means, know the car is a fake. Those that can't tell its a fake, don't know what the badge means.
Im sure if you looked at it a bit longer by youreself, you would have figured it out before they told you.

I understand it wan an oil change and business is business, but I am not sure if I'd let that on my lot of not. It looks like ****, and stands for something I completely disagree with. What a waste of money and a Boxster.

I have to say I recognized that immediately as a bad attempt. I hope the $65k included the price of the Boxster.

Even if I would have never seen a real CGT I would not think that this wanna-be was a good looking car.. A stock boxter covered in birdcr*p looks miles better than that IMO.
