what is the purpose of the cup windows? it seems like a big sacrifice with regards to all weather driving and security, and detracts from the appearance.

i can see if you were getting paid to win races and every ounce counts, but what are the advantages for the average car enthousiast?
You are correct about no real advantages of it for my purpose.
For me, I just did it for looks and of course some people will like it and others not. I am happy so that's what matters to me.

After talking to my mechanic, they actually use these windows to let hot air out from the inside of the car besides saving a little weight.

As for sacrifice on weather and security, it isn't to me. This is my weekend toy and I would not drive it in the rain and I would never leave the car in an unsafe place and outdoors overnight.

Beautiful car Fred. I'm 100% with you on the "race" look. It's as it should be.

Fred, love the green lip on the wheels. Car looks great. Much increased noise from the new windows?
