Nothing like being able to own a Porsche form age 16 to 60. Simply fantastic.

 

It's a Mahle piston out of, as far as I can find out, a 935. There was a hand full made and engraved with the Porsche crest back in 1985-86. They were given as gifts to some special customers and dealers. I managed to end up with 7 of them, well actually I only have 6. I gave one to Sharky & James. But that's another story.

 

June Next time you're in I have to show you the RS clutch stuff... Light.

 

And the 935 is just about the coolest porsche ever. I loved watching those things race around at the historics 2 years ago. Two frigging turbos hanging off the *** like a trailer hitch!

 

You are a tease!! If you expect me to fall for the LWFW you will have to give me a Porsche to drive home while James does his stuff, and it has to be sorted-out with fresh tires and race fuel!!

Alex, I think maybe that Kermit would work out quite nicely as a loaner. Let me know when he shows up. That way I could help you out by putting on some quality break-in miles while you and James pay attention to buisness! Let's see, about 120 miles to my Gualala house from you, another 428 miles to Ashland via 299 and then back to Sharkwerks? That would be almost 1100 miles. It would be perfect!! You could put on a new set of rears and you would be good to go, none of that driving around at 4500 rpm.

The one pictured above was actually my 3rd Porsche, I had forgotten about the 1958 black one below. The first was 1956 red Cab, also pictured below. I purchased the 56 Cab from my stepfather at age 15. I had two jobs on the weekends, summers and after school starting at age eleven. When I wasn't working, at school or sleeping I was reading about Porsche's and Grand Prix racing. My first love in life was Porsches. I got the family deal on the 56 as a tree had fallen on it and I think I paid him $1500 for it in 1961 after it had been repaired. I remember I had given him $450 down and was making payments of $40.00 a month. It really wasn't in very good shape and had lots of bondo on it but I truly loved that car. I remember I didn't help it any by running it off the road even before I had my drivers license. I keep that car for nearly a year then after getting a job after school with Vasek Polack and going racing with him on the weekends I bought the black 58 from him. Next I had the green one which was pretty much my favorite 356 which I also bought from Vasek. After that I had a few other 356's another silver A a B and a C and then there was Vietnam, which kind of brought everything that had anything to do with Porsches to a halt. But again, that's a another story
