996 GT3 "Oil Failure Indicator"
996 GT3 "Oil Failure Indicator"
I was driving home on the highway about 90 mph in 6th gear with the A/C on today and the temperature was about 87 Degrees.
I heard a bell sound and the computer on the dash told me to CHECK OIL FAILURE INDICATOR! Along with that the Oil pressure went from 5 down to 0. But as quickly as it went down it went back up and the computer reset.
It did this about three times. I pulled over and ckecked the Oil and it was full. The temperature of the car was only about 183 Degrees.
Turned car off when got home and computer reset and no check alert.
Help me!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks,
Adam

Its a very common problem.
Mine just started to do it last summer, and then almost every GT3 my dealer sold had the identical problem at the same time. I cant remember exactly what it was a faulty solenoid or something.
