I am really surprised no one has mentioned changing the oil. Yes its true if you idle it a minute or 2 before shutdown there's less smoke, and also there's more smoke if not run for some time ( it seems because more oil has seeped past the rings?), but also the older the oil is the more it seems to happen, even Mobil 1 loses some of its qualities over time.

Does anyone know if its better with the gold cap Mobil 1? Up to now I've always used silver cap.
