My new White GT3
Your GT3 looks great, painted console is nice.
I share your concerns about the front lip although the turbo one isn't as low as the GT3, It's still a pain. I panic every time a dip, ramp, pebble etc appears.

Mine was a birthday present to myself as well.
Mine came with Pirelli's and after a few hundred miles there is tire residue on the lower part of the fenders behind the tires, a real soft compound. These will not last long.
Martin; I promised you a ride and when I get back from an upcoming trip we'll do it.

I might keep this car stock, it seems right just the way it is unlike the TT which needed some work.
Beautiful car man. I actually saw a white 997 GT3 today in Toronto. First GT3 I've ever seen. Pretty awesome machine. A dark grey murci roadster was following it and I could honestly say the GT3 looked better.
I also ordered the shifter trim piece (CDJ) in white. The photo was blown out so it wasn't visible but it makes the white console look complete. My concern is that it's easy to scratch so when I have the 3M film done maybe they can do part of the console.
Thanks again for all the kind words.

It does not have the torque the TT has so I don't expect to be thrown back in the seat like I do in the TT.
That being said that's not really what I wanted in the GT3. I wanted a more precise instrument that was sufficiantly fast and that's what it is.
The power comes on without lag which is nice, I also like the idea of a high revving NA motor.
I admit I do like the acceleration that 550 HP/TQ gives you but the TT is not the precise machine the GT3 is, 2 very different vehicles.
My advise to you is to drive a Carrera "S" and imagine somewhat more power and considerbly better handling and then decide if that's for you.
Fortunately I have no plans to sell my TT or my 1996 C2 Cab., I enjoy the 3 very different driving experiences each one gives me.
