2008 GT3 RS available.... Orange
You are right they can sell it for what ever they want or what the market will bear. However they have bear what damage they take by treating loyal customers like crap. Basically as Monster says these are high end loyal customers-many of whom have purchased many cars (sometimes several each year) that are being trashed by their dealers for a fast $50-$75K.
Other dealers are selling to other dealers. Dealers are working with customers to do quick flips while customers like Rich with documented deposits go with out cars. One loyal customer may make the dealership $40K or more a year in sales (and how much in service?), and the dealer alienates him for a quick onetime $50K. I have learned that the Porsche dealers and salesmen are no different than the cigarette puffing swearing Dodge guys. I thought they were different and I thought we paid for that. If I was a dealer I would have made sure I worked hard to fill every customer who had a deposit got their order filled. If I was PCNA I would have made sure those customers and my dealers worked to that end. What's going on now to me is rediculous and really has me thinking this is my last Pcar.
Sure this is a free market but the customer is also free to equate his dealership with being slimy. The flip side of a free market is- I am free to never do business with that dealer or brand again. And if that dealer/brand does trashes enough customers they are free to go out of business.
All the smart people tell us to study Economics 101-but as I understand it-if a business has no customers it has no business.

just so you guys know, the reason why i am not directly responding to Rich's situation is because i don't know what actually happened. I could assume a bunch of things, but i'm not going to.
Monster, i appreciate the suggestions, i really do.

I think the people with grievances should start a thread because Manhattan is a paying vendor and they are trying to sell a car on this thread. We would hate to scare away potential customers. If you got ripped off start a thread like the Brandywine fiasco then you get more attention.

That's just corect Byron , respect for the paying vendors around, but that doesn't mean a vendor should flood the forum with its offers in other places then the *for sale* area.
Sorry again for being an ******* on Steve's thread.

MMC is the sponser
but because i have been on here for so long, and have a personal repor with a lot of you guys, i represent MMC fully.
I don't feel like i'm getting attacked at all, maybe being pushed to the wall a little, but that's ok because i understand COMPLETELY where Rich is coming from, and im eager to meet him in person tomorrow.

Rich, we did get an allocation though. And it was filled before your turn came.
Simple as that.
This Orange GT3 is an allocation we baught to meet demand.
Im not going to go back and forth on this anymore.
Other people, just like who, who were on our list , and have not been able to order a car, have an opportunity to purchase this car for the asking price.

RS is a sweet car. +75 over not a chance I would do it and I am stupid when it comes to cars and watches...+75k over for a 430 sure as I know I have limited downside...Porsche always pulls the same BS these cars will be on the way down sooner then later then they may slightly recover ala the CGT they are up in price again now
