Koro? Never heard of?

Well, it goes straight into first place in AutoBild Test&Tuning's
test on the Oscherleben track. Leaving the Manthey Racings 996 GT-MR behind with over 2 seconds.

From the start it is a Porsche GT3 bored to 4.6 litre.
The engine output is 480 hp / 500 Nm.
Tires are Michelin Pilot Sport Cup oand the weight is 1195 kg.

The performance:

0 - 100 3.8 sec.
0 - 160 7.5 sec.
0 - 200 10.9 sec.
0 - 250 18.6 sec.

100 - 200 7.1 sec.

Price? 220.000 Euro.

The name of the car is Koro 4.6 RM S. Could be worth remembering

Was this against the 996GT-MR based on the 996TT? The one with '550hp'? I believe it is AWD drive, right?

The results don't shock me too much. However, it is my understanding that Manthey also has a 4.0L+ engine for the GT3 as well.

I always thought that a large NA motor would be better for the track since the power is linear and you can drive it more aggressively.

I THINK the MR 996 GT-MR is based on the GT3 as well.

The difference might be the tires as well.

In any case the 0 - 200 kmh times is VERY fast.

Manthey has a 996 Turbo based car that can do 0-200km in 9.3s, it was in Autobild a couple of years ago with a crazy widebody kit.
