uh, didn't look impressive to me honestly. It seemed like it bogged a bit and there was no wheelspin whatsoever. Not quite sure this guy did it right or something. And yes, I am aware wheelspin is not is not ideal, but a hard/perfect AWD launch has some. I have launch control on my STi and have been to the dragstrip numerous times using it....always has some wheelspin when it squats then takes off. Additionally I have seem some videos on YouTube of Gallardos launching and they are dramatically different than this. See below:

I could be totally wrong, and this could be a standard launch form the new car, but it just didn't seem correct (or very fast for that matter).

Agreed. He bogged that.

Also "...air conditioning is off so we can have maximum power", um, what? Most modern performance cars click off the AC automatically at WOT. Even still, what is the AC robbing the Gallardo of, 1/2hp?

I thought it was nice of him to scrape the front in the very beginning of the vid. Cool vid though.
