I know this is old, but just wanted to give JoeyM a shout out again, I just used these direcionts on my 06 Murci Roadster (and while my rear bonnet opens the exact opposite as his car does, the rest of the directions were spot on).

hmmm.. not sure I know which part of his write up you are refering to Nick. Also in the roadsters situation, of course you do NOT need to remove the locking latch, ours sits up front, near the passenger and drivers head rest.
