lp640 in Angola

http://www.gtspirit.com/2010/02/26/video-of-the-day-lamborghini-lp640-in-africa/

Todays video is not remarkable for it’s amazing quality or great video editing, nor for the fact that it features a red Lamborghini Murcielago LP640, the location however is remarkable. This Lamborghini LP640 was filmed while maneuvering it’s way through the streets of Angola’s capital Luanda.
Angola is a country in southern Africa and from the 16th century until 1975 it was a Portuguese colony. After the independence until 2002 Angola was the scene of an intense civil-war that kept the country in disarray. Since the end of the civil-war the country has seen some great economic growth mainly boosted by the countries oil production, Angola is the second largest oil producer in Africa and the biggest oil supplier to China. Although an Angolese upper-class has risen quickly since the end of the civil-war, poverty is still widespread.
The infrastructure in Angola is improving, also thanks to Chinese investments, but the roads are still not perfect for low supercars as you can see in the video below… But the roads are not the only thing that pose a challenge for this courageous Lamborghini owner, getting it fixed or serviced will be a challenge on their own as the nearest Lamborghini dealership is more than 3.000 km’s away, located in Cape Town.

waldoonay is infamous around these parts
It's a very interesting experience to go and visit these African countries.
The difference in social classes are insane, you'll have countries where people are literally starving, and government officials will shake your hand wearing a $300k watch.
An LP640 isn't really surprising, but it is a shame that it can't really stretch its legs with the state of most roads there.
