V12 gallardo, is it possible?
Plus the huge difference in physical size!
Yea a couple people do v10 swaps with the e9x m3's. I was thinking you could do a v12 swap AND THEN twin turbo it haha for some insane power. People have done 4.7 v8 swaps in the m3 and supercharged them in the e9x
It is clear you are not savvy with either engine...
How's that? and you're right, I don't know as much as I could about the gallardo engines, which is why I was asking.

The V12 is massive, and heavy....even with fab work this would be a pretty pointless conversion as I don't see it driving well, it would throw the balance off, the trans would have to be completely redone as it's not bolted from the rear, the crazy fab work needed to route exhaust plumbing etc. Regarding other swaps, even the Jag V12 into a Miata... the Miata actually has a small but "open" engine bay that allows swaps though with pretty much no accessories usually and the V12 jag is fairly small for a v12. Heck a lot of people in various cars do LS swaps b/c the engines are compact and usually even lighter than the smaller engine it's replacing. BMW's V10 isn't that big either. Anythings possible with the right amount of $$ but this is a swap I just don't see happening, the cost and fab work would be insane.
The Lambo V12 is an wide and long, old school V12. Ever see one out of a car? It's a huge piece of machinery lol.
If you wanted it just for sound, have you ever heard the V10 when opened up with exhaust work? It's right there with the 12 imo.

So what would the advantage be of a high-powered Gallardo be over a Murc? Smaller, lighter chassis, more nimble, etc...?
(I don't know the difference between the two transmissions, or structural rigidity, etc...)
The disadvantages of doing this, would add weight, and possible fabrications that would reduce the advantages of the original purpose.
I say - don't do it.
I remember when I bought my 4.3L Vantage and I thought; this car would be amazing with the 6L V12. I asked an Aston tech if you could put the V12 in the Vantage and he laughed out loud. Now I own that very car so never say never.
Toss a couple turbos on the V10 and go hunt some Bugatti's.
Nice work!
Nice work!
Anything on Earth is possible with MONEY. You can put a Twin Turbo Lamborghini V12 in a Fiat, just a matter of how much money are you willing to spend?
Clearly it will not be a drop-in replacement.
You can shoe-horn any engine into any chassis. The question is how much time and money are you willing to spend in order to execute all the other potential chassis modifications and potentially, custom one off suspension, transmission and accessory components.
