Thumbs down

I might pay $15k for that kit tops. It only puts down 620whp and 490wtq. For the same price UGR makes 820whp and 550wtq! For $25k DLM makes almost the same numbers as UGR, Dougs pipes arent as shiny but why have a tt kit you just want to look at

No bueno VF

$31k for a TVS blower is outrageous and exorbitant pricing, I agree with you 100%.

Anyone got a dyno sheet for this thing?

I wouldn't be surprised to see the power start trailing off on the top end.

tt car just keeps on climbing

True but the TT cars require a total engine rebuild, this only a intake manifold replacement and reflash.

UGR stage 1 TTS uses the stock engine and produces more power- the price between the VF kit and the UGR kit is within a few thousand dollars.

End of response.

Roots style blowers are a light switch power adder. There is no "OFF", the internals of the engine are constantly under boost pressure and under stress.

Also roots blowers can only be made so big, you limit over all power output greatly.

There's a reason only a few select automakers use this type of forced induction, ford, chevy, to name a couple. Many of the Cobra guys aspire to rip the roots blower off their cars and go TT.

Ive never been a fan of parasitic power adders. VF made its name in the BMW market- they developed centrifugal s/c systems for their market.. to my knowledge their use of roots blowers was very very limited.

No matter how you slice it , turbos make more power per lb of boost than any other power adder.

True, but personally, i like the more instant response from a supercharger. Something about getting whiplash when you blip the throttle does give a buzz

i know this might be a stupid question but have you guys ever tried a compound boost setup to deal with lag issues or is there any bad lag issues with the ttg's.. just wondering...

Unfortunately so have I... For this money I would rather have UGR TT... they have many many G-cars with loads of miles running their kit with no issues...

There are no lag issues. The Supercharged LP 560 would get punished by a bolt on TT LP 560.

A supercharged G would be alot better on a road course than a TT.

Every big HP TT car has
some lag. A compound setup is very complex and costly. At the top end the blower becomes a restriction but you do emilinate any lag.

Please share you experiences that you have had in the Gallardo platforms with a supercharger vs TT.

I thought there would be a tiny bit but maybe the power of the gallardo makes up for it. I wasn't saying a supercharged would beat it either. I'll take a ttg on any day of the week over a supercharged one. In fact there was a new Sugerlegerra at a car meet here and I told my friend ehhh its ok nothing special. He said man its a lamborghini what are you talking about. I replied man if it doesnt have underground racing written on the side im not interested.
