Daniel Van Hoozer Call Out!
UGR offers billet 1-6 trans gears in addition to a billet 'drop down' or basically final drive. Most opt for the final drive as apparently that has proven to be a weak link at higher hp levels. It is typically ordered with a longer ratio and IIRC tops out at 240+. I also opted for billet 1-6 gears as my car is an e-gear and I'd like to try to launch it....more than once.
We changed the 3rd gear ratio and made it slightly longer. Other gear ratios are stock.
I'm not planning on taking mine to the Mile - I don't want to cage it.
It's not entirely up to me.....but somebody needs to be his first!

Probably best to ask Kevin....or calculate it on your own knowing it'll do mid 240 at stock redline.
Re the EVOMS car, I am told none of them will actually run on the highway.
Why aren't any of those cars running? Do you know the details? I was thinking about doing an E85 conversation with Akram/Protomotive but if there are some problems I will hold off until further cars are on the road.
Thanks
Robert

Jamie,
This thread cracks me up. You are def the web kingpin of call outs and **** stirring.
Since I haven't talked to anyone about this build and def would never refer to any of our cars as "bad ***" I wonder who you could have been hearing such things from?
Just understand when you are talking to Nero that he's coming after your uber-ugr-build whether it be directly, or indirectly through a customer...
Hey - while I think you may be wasting your time with a call-out directed towards me--if you and Scott are willing it would be fun to get a few of these cars out and I already have the following dates planned:
Zmax Dragway in Concord: 6/15 and/or 6/22 - wife will be attempting 10's in her stock 2012 B/E GTR and I'll be doing a test and tune runs with one of our Supras.
VIR on 7/11 my wife and I will be there in our GTR's.

Damn Daniel, could you have picked a hotter time to go to the track!!!!??? As for the G, Daniel is getting a bolt-on, we all know there is NO WAY his car will stay within 5 bus lengths of Jamie's...

Which is exactly why this thread cracks me up and why I stated a call out for a car with 1/2 the HP hardly seems worth while...
Now if we are talking VIR and a race with the UGR SL against the GTR's, or Supra, that may be a more realistic race.
Nero is not someone to be underestimated--he has more race circuit experience than any other shop I know of. He has also demonstrated when he sets his sights on something he's usually successful at accomplishing it. It shall be fun to watch...
If your idea of a good race is pairing cars with a 600+ HP spread between them, then yes, I can see why you can't wait--LOL!
Yes - looking forward to it and should be a blast. I just hope I don't get beat by my wife. Maybe I should prompt her to start a call out thread
Vincent may be able to attest to her driving skill as I think he may have gone for a drive with her that he came back from looking a bit surprised
Jamie - Let me know when you are coming to Charlotte to take the SL out. I may have something on the way that will at least have 4 digit HP rating and with the weight may be able to keep your car in sight.

Daniel,
I was under the impression from my "source" that you need a little encouragement to go all out on a big build. Nero obviously is giving his first 1500hp customer a killer economic deal. You could be the first car to take down a UGR TTG - so stop sand bagging and man up to your plans!
Scott and I are trying to time our respective builds so we can run in Ohio vs Virginia - where I understand the risks are a bit higher.
However I have a trailer and I am known to travel, so happy to run you wherever, whenever and in whatever....
